Why a Master in Beijing?
Demand for legal professionals who combine a high command of European and international law with a special expertise in Chinese legal matters is rising. The Master Programme of European and International Law (MEIL) offers the unique opportunity to acquire this highly sought-after legal expertise within an international and challenging environment. In addition to a broad spectrum of courses in European and international law, international students also have the possibility to take courses in Chinese law. Depending on their particular area of expertise, professors are selected from 16 European and Chinese partner universities. The internationally-recognised LL.M degree is conferred by the University of Hamburg.

Study one semester in China – no CLTE tuition fees for
The China-EU School of Law (CESL) in Beijing, partner of the
University, is offering a one-semester Chinese law programme from September to January . The programme is open to undergraduate law students as well as master’s law students. Courses are taught in English and cover contemporary Chinese law with a focus on Chinese business law. Students from partner universities pay no CLTE tuition fees!
