Social, economic and cultural rights
Master Droit des libertésParcours Human Rights Law in a changing World

Description

Despite the principle of indivisibility of Human Rights, Social, economic and cultural rights suffer from a lack of justiciability and protection in Law. This seminar seeks to analyse how these questions might be apprehended in a more robust manner by international courts and bodies, so as to further substantive equality and effective participation in our societies. The issue of the fight against poverty will be used as the basis for this analysis. Without substantive equality being achieved, Human Rights but also democracy are in danger as excluded populations fail to participate.
